I am a vegetarian. And proud of it. I am a swimmer. And happier because of it.

I'm a reasonably happy person, at least when I am with my friends.  I love my friends.  They ALL desearve to be loved!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! But sometimes I am also very serious and depressed...but SHH don't tell anyone.  I'm supposed to be the laughs-easily-sarcastic-mainstream-rock-loving-smart-a**-kid.

Music, writing, friends. They're what keep me going when the world gets tough...or at least I think they are... Actually, they're what tell me to quit shutting the world out. To stop avoiding my emotions. But I'm still not sure if I actually AM avoiding them. It all just depends on the time of month.

My favorite bands are: my chemical romance, the offspring, the used, blink-182, angels and airwaves, +44, Rise Against, Anti-Flag, The Unseen, The Birthday Massacre, Queen, blue oyster cult, bullet for my valentine, aiden, armor for sleep, avril lavigne, green day, nightwish, pain....that sort of stuff ya know?  My older brother Thomas says that I listen to "post hardcore" whatever though. It inspires, revives, keeps me alive.

My name is Melanie. I love music, reading, writing and drawing. My two favorite sports are softball and swimming. Then volleyball and soccor. I am a vegetarian and against animal cruelty. I stand up for what I believe in...as well as do my best to respect what others believe.
I babble a lot, and I laugh easily, I am also extremely sarcastic...

The only ways a person can really get on my bad sign is to hurt innocent people or animals or to insult my friends or family. Otherwise I'm pretty tolerant of everybody.

Writing is more than just something TO do...it is something I MUST do..to stay sane. It is my release and my fairytale world.

My writing isn't brilliant, but I do not really write for others, I write for myself. I appreciate feedback a lot. So once I get something up here...yeah...you got the picture right?

Music means a lot to me, it calms me down. I don't play any intruments, but I'm hoping to learn piano...maybe someday..I've got a while.

Nothing is as important to me though, as my friends and family. I cherish the time I spend with then..at least the good times..because I have learned that people don't last forever. Not here on earth anyways...
