I sit in a tree, green and lush

It's fruitful lovliness bringing a rush

Lying on a branch, face to the sky

Sitting in the lovely tree, watching birds fly

And I lay and listen to the sweet sounds of day

Knowing I could get used to living this way

Violet:

The Pigment Beneath

Violet petals fall from the heavens,

Beautiful, to say the least,

As they leave a fresh scent behind.

Reminding me of new comings,

And regretful leavings...

This new scent,

It feels as if a rain is washing my skin,

Scrubbing away the flesh,

Showing the true being below,

The bright colors of my soul,

The shape of my spirit.

With the future ahead,

Bygones being bygones,

The past is gone.

Now begins the next journey,

The next chapter we've all been waiting for.

These simple petals,

So violet, so pure,

Bringing more than a sweet scent.

They bring change.

They bring memories.

They finally help the wounds heal after all this time…

Blue:

The Blue that Play

Your eyes,
The cool blue color of the Carribean,
They let me read you,
Like an open book
But sometimes,
They play me,
Just like a computer game.

Yellow:

Yellow marks the colour of fall
leaves changing with the seasons,
children jumping
having fun together
under the glare of the bright yellow sun
and under the dark yellow leaves of that little old oak tree.

Indigo:

As the Majestic tree
Frowned above him,
And the silence of the lost
Hung before him
He gazed into the forever burning sun
And he sighed the deep voice of the wind.
As he formed ever changing shapes in the clouds
He found in the colorful blue sky
A lady with soft indigo eyes.
Frozen by the intensity
And moved by the passion
He looked into those eyes
And he fell
The weeping tree
No longer frowned upon his hopes
And the silence smiled upon him.
The sun brought joy
To the indigo world
And as he gently came down
Below the weeping tree
He followed the silence
To the indigo summer.

The colour yellow reminds me of the timeI went to the zoo,

The sun was out, the sky was blue, andI was only two

There was a Spanish speaking hamster named Lester, who lived at the zoo.

He was world famous too,

All the people, came from everywhere that day, just to hear Lester say

"Once upon a timeI was a man, with a wife and children and a bakery stand, My bread was being eaten by something so small soI set a trap, to put it to a end, The trap went off, sounded like a shot, soI had a look and what didI see? I saw a Hamster named Larry Half dead in the trap, Larry had a family, even a pet rat, 'what have you done?'I heard a little voice, It came from his wife named Louis, Larry was dying stuck in his trap, before his last breath he said just this: I was once a man with a wife and a dog, I killed a hamster named Leopold, Leopold was a god, andturned me in to this, andI shall do the same to you, I now grant you...worthless"

My pencil dropped from my hand as Lester walked off the stand, no one even clapped there hands

And that was the timeI went to the zoo whenI was only two.

You are always so playful when I see you

And I wonder why that is

Is it because you are having fun

Or is it because you are putting on a act for

Me so I don’t see you green with jealousy

I wish I knew but sadly I don’t

But I will always give you your

Sweet apple of delight even though

I don’t know how you feel

But I hope that you will always know

No mater if you are green with jealousy

I will always love you

If only the color of love was the color

Of grass instead of red or pink

But we can not change it so for now

To you green will always mean jealousy

But to me it will always mean my love for you

So with that I ask of you not to be green with jealousy

But green with love

Orange:

I found myself sleeping soundly in my Mom’s lap...oblivious of future...

I found myself playing with orange, vibrant, naughty sunshine in my Mom’s garden...amidst the bed of roses and chrysanthemum...

I found myself following Mom in every room holding her Saree...

I found myself snoring under my favourite lemon tree...the lemons with awesome aroma taking away all my anxiety...

I found myself figuring out a way for climbing a mango tree in Grandpa’s garden...

And then running for life when a bunch of monkeys did not like that idea...

I found myself fighting with my kid sister and then repenting till today...

I found myself leading my cousins and sister through a plan to steal guavas from Mr Krishnamurthy’s garden...

I found myself growing up and forgetting all these tiny weeny pleasures...

And getting entangled in false interpretation of love through loads of Mills and Boons...

I found myself as a wife, a mother and amidst loads of turmoil...wondering restlessly in a restaurant...

Even though I have revived my soul through my son’s childhood...still how much of my worries am I dumping on him subconsciously...how much??

I found myself thinking whether the orange sun could come and play with my son as his baseball...to take away any trace of negativity from his life...

I need to change myself ...I have always known that, tried that and failed...

I want to give up, and stop trying to be a super woman...

I am dead already...lost already...whom are you searching for in my dead body...??

Blue:

Blue, the color of the sky above

So beautiful and calming, should be the color of love

It's the color of the ocean, the sea foam sprays

The color of the sky that catches the sun's rays

It warms the mind and soothes the soul

Blue has to be my favorite color.

Hazy reds and lonesome golds
Across a great white sea
A perfect fit, your hand in mine
As you stay close to me

The world around us bickers on
They argue and despair
But you and I have lost the fight
Our love has no hold there

Now across these clouds we soar
Life’s journey is soon done
And now we sail these mighty waves
Our ocean to the sun
