Voices in my head

None of them are me

But they’re all so loud

So strident

So subtle, oh you see

I try to be so logical

I try to empathise

But my nasty twisting heart

Keeps bleeding on the inside

Jealousy like a green snake

Entwined about the apple

Devouring every slipped mistake

Making a meal

Of my sorrows
