A handsome prince,
A beautiful maiden,
In a magnificent kingdom,
Do they lie,
For years ago,
They both loved,
When she screamed,
He would be her rescuer,
When she cried,
He would be her mourner,
For as he slew both beast and fowl,
An unseen enemy came towards the bow,
One night, when he was old and gray,
It stole his breath upon the place which he lay,
She found him next morn,
With tears in her eyes,
And pressed her lips against his,
Just one last time,
At his funeral she wept,
But despair consumed,
She fell in the pit,
And dirt overtook,
Each year passes, their corpses rot,
But their love ever grows,
For even death cannot stop its one true foe.
