That night was so long ago, but I remember so well. I waited at the door in suit and bowtie.
I was nervous, no denying it, for tonight was the night I would make my dream a reality.
I heard her car come to a screeching halt. I opened the door and greeted before she lay a sweet gift apon my cheek.
I led her in the candle lit kitchen, which I served a special meal.
We talked and laughed through the food but still nervous was I. After she had placed her fork I knew the time was now.
I took the gift I had hidden in my pocket and spoke, “To you my love my blooming flower, The fire that will never die.
To you my love, the glow that’ll never fade.” For until this day we are happy together. For my love has not left.
For she had made me complete.
