I went back out to find Todd sitting on the couch waiting for me. When he saw me, he smiled.
"What'd she say?" I smiled.
"Just gave me some advice..."
"About what?"
"You."
"And what was that?" I smiled.
"To not let you go." We smiled at each other and sat down.
"I'd say that's some good advice." He said while he put his arm over my shoulder. We kissed and he said,"I should probably go." He started to get up and I pulled his sleeve to make him sit back down.
"Why?"
"I have to get back before someone notices I'm gone."
"But, do you have to leave NOW?" He nodded his head and I frown. He went back to my room and I followed him. When he noticed I'd followed him, he stopped.
"I have to take this suit off." He explained. I nodded. He looked at me oddly. I smiled and turned to face the wall while he closed the door. I heard him unbuttoning the jacket. I turned around for a quick second. "Ouch! Too hot to touch!" Is what he should have written on his back. I quickly turned back around as he finished changing.
When he was done, I heard him walk over to me. He wrapped his arms around my neck and kissed me on the cheek.
"What was that for?" I asked.
"For being a good girl." He said playfully. I smiled.
I walked Todd down to his car. It was a ratty, old white car. It was all he could afford, though. We kissed and said goodbye. I stood in the parking lot until his car faded away.
Sad at the fact that Todd left, I made my way to the stairs and into the apartment. When I got back up, Patty made me take some special vitamins. Ugh, they were gross, I gotta say. She made me start eating different things than my usual potato chips or salad.
Time passed by and soon, Thanksgiving was close by. In a week, it would be here and so would Todd. Todd planned on coming tomorrow, because he promised to stay a week. It's okay with Leila and Maddie, and Todd's parents didn't mind. They never did.
I was cleaning my room up, when Leila walked in.
"Hey Leah. How are you?" I stood up. I looked at her.
"Fine..why?" She looked nervous,"What's wrong Leila?"
"Well....I sorta might have slipped out to Maddie the reason you were..you know..pregnant..." Leila said.
"What?? Why??" I hadn't wanted Maddie to know quite yet about it. I told Leila to wait until after Thanksgiving to tell her. Maddie and I had become friends, but not close enough to tell her about...the man.
"It slipped!! We were talking about how Maddie's friend Latisha got pregnant cause she was just being dumb, and I told her that you weren't dumb and then...you know." She bit her lip. "I'm sorry. I really am." I sighed.
"It's okay. She would've had to find out sooner or later." I started feeling sick, and I ran to the bathroom. Leila followed. She held my hair back as I threw up. I wiped off my mouth with some toliet paper and went out to the kitchen to drink some apple juice. I was used to the morning sickness now. It didn't bother me like it used to.
The next day, I waited in the living room for a knock on the door. At around one, I heard three knocks. I opened it, and there was Todd. This time, without the pajamas.
