I didn't leave the hospital then, though. The doctors found out that I had been beaten, from all of my scars. They also found signs of a rape, and I confirmed it was true. I had to tell the police my father's name, what he looked like, and where we had lived. I also had to tell them a description of the man that had raped me, almost twice. Todd didn't recieve any charges of having a gun without a permit, because he was using it as self defense. He saved me from another rape, and there is no ultimate way I could thank him.
The police caught my father and he has been sent to jail. They found the man that had raped me dead in a dumpster behind a grocery store. All the signs say it was suicide. My dad will be spending the rest of his life in jail. Actually, it's the highest security jail in the area.
Todd and I got married August second. I go to therapy every Tuesday for my raping. Hope is now a healthy, three year old. It's hard to believe it's been that long. Todd said she looks a LOT like me, and I choose to believe him.
It's now December fifth, and guess what? I'm 5 months pregnant with me and Todd's son! Things are still going strong between Todd and me, and Hope can't wait for her own little brother. I guess you could say we're a happy little family. And, my father brings me no more pain.
Oh, but bad news. My father broke out of jail.
